Online LMS Implementation Specialist

As an Online LMS (Learning Management System) Implementation Specialist, you will be critical in successfully deploying and optimizing our clients' LMS platforms. This remote position requires a highly organized and technically proficient professional with extensive experience in LMS implementation, customization, and ongoing support. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including instructional designers, IT professionals, trainers, and end-users, to ensure the LMS meets each client's unique needs.Key Responsibilities:
- LMS Implementation and Configuration:
- Lead the end-to-end implementation process for new LMS platforms, including requirements gathering, system configuration, user account setup, and data migration.
- Customize the LMS to meet client-specific needs, including branding, course structures, user roles, and access permissions.
- Integrate the LMS with other enterprise systems, such as HRIS, CRM, and third-party content providers, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Client Consultation and Support:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the implementation process, providing expert guidance and support.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand client objectives, user requirements, and existing infrastructure.
- Offer best practices and strategic recommendations to optimize the LMS for client-specific training and development goals.
- Training and Documentation:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on how to effectively use the LMS for administrators, instructors, and end-users
- Create detailed documentation to support ongoing user adoption and system maintenance, including user manuals, training guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Provide post-implementation support, addressing issues or questions and ensuring clients can manage their LMS independently.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple LMS implementation projects simultaneously, ensuring all timelines, budgets, and client expectations are met.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth implementation, including IT, instructional design, and customer support.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
- System Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Perform rigorous testing of the LMS to identify and resolve any technical issues or bugs before client launch.
- Ensure all system functionalities, including user authentication, course delivery, reporting, and integration points, are fully operational.
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement system updates, patches, and enhancements as required.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in online learning and LMS platforms.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance the LMS implementation process, improve system performance, and increase client satisfaction.
- Propose and develop new features or custom solutions that clients can offer to meet their evolving needs.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction and loyalty.
- Gather client feedback to inform future product development and service improvements.
- Identify opportunities for additional services, upgrades, or renewals, contributing to business growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelorβs degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Instructional Design, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, CompTIA Project+) are a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in LMS implementation, preferably focusing on online learning environments.
- Proven track record of successful LMS deployments and client satisfaction.
- Experience with Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, and other popular LMS platforms.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in LMS configuration, administration, and customization.
- Strong understanding of SCORM, xAPI, and other e-learning standards.
- Familiarity with database management, SQL, APIs, and system integrations.
- Competency in project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Microsoft Project.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
