Virtual Learning Manager

Position: Virtual Learning Manager Location: Remote Annual Salary: $172,932 About the Role: We seek a dynamic and innovative Virtual Learning Manager to oversee our online learning programs' development, implementation, and management. This remote position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of virtual education technologies and methodologies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading virtual learning initiatives, optimizing educational content, and driving learner engagement and success. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive virtual learning strategy aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
    • Identify emerging trends and technologies in virtual learning to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of educational innovation.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define learning needs and translate them into effective virtual learning solutions.
  2. Program Management:
    • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of virtual learning programs and courses.
    • Manage the lifecycle of virtual learning projects, from conception through delivery and evaluation.
    • Coordinate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and technology specialists to create high-quality, engaging learning materials.
  3. Technology Integration:
    • Evaluate and select appropriate virtual learning platforms and tools to enhance the learning experience.
    • Ensure the effective integration of technology, including Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies, into the learning environment.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to virtual learning platforms and tools.

    • Develop and implement strategies to increase learner engagement and satisfaction.
    • Support learners, including troubleshooting technical issues, answering queries, and facilitating a positive learning experience.

    • Led and mentored a team of virtual learning professionals, including instructional designers, content creators, and technology specialists.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
    • Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to align virtual learning initiatives with broader organizational objectives.

    • Prepare and present reports on virtual learning program performance, including learner outcomes, engagement metrics, and ROI.
    • Use data analytics to measure the success of virtual learning initiatives and inform strategic decisions.
    • Communicate insights and recommendations to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance, Certified Online Learning Facilitator) is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in virtual learning, instructional design, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning authoring tools, and virtual classroom technologies. Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and other e-learning standards is desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
Working Conditions:
  • This is a remote position, allowing for flexible work arrangements.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training, conferences, or meetings.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying demands and deadlines.
