A new sales rep's first month determines most of what happens after. Get it right, and they're closing deals by week six. Get it wrong, and you're rehiring for the same seat in three months. We're hiring a
Virtual Sales Onboarding Trainer to make sure it goes the first way, running the training that gets new hires selling with confidence, entirely from a remote setup.
Who We Need
Someone who's actually sold before. New reps figure out fast whether their trainer has real pipeline experience or is reading from a slide deck they didn't write. Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or a related field, plus a minimum of 3 years working in sales training, onboarding, or something close to it — including real-time running programs remotely, not just theory about how remote training should work.
Responsibilities
- Build onboarding curricula, e-learning modules, and practice exercises suited to different learning styles.
- Lead live training sessions on Zoom, Teams, or similar platforms. Keep the room engaged, not half-listening with cameras off.
- Walk new hires through company processes, product knowledge, and role expectations, and check in one-on-one when someone's stuck.
- Review assessment scores and performance metrics to see what's working, then revise the material that clearly isn't.
- Meet regularly with sales leadership and HR so that training stays aligned with current priorities rather than last quarter's.
- Keep records of attendance, progress, and feedback, and turn that into reporting leadership can actually use.
- Watch for new approaches in sales enablement and virtual learning worth testing.
Skills That Matter Here
- Objection handling, pipeline stages, and closing — the actual sales fundamentals, not just the vocabulary.
- Presence in front of a virtual room. It's a different skill from presenting in person, and not everyone has it.
- Comfort with LMS platforms and standard video-conferencing software.
- Time management strong enough to handle overlapping cohorts without dropping anything.
- Genuine interest in the data side of training rather than relying purely on gut feel.
Nice to Have
- Certification in instructional design, adult learning, or a named sales training framework.
- Experience building content in tools like Articulate or Camtasia.
- Time spent training reps on a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
What the Team Is Like
Direct feedback, given and received without much ceremony, then everyone gets back to work. If you're checking Naukri Mitra for a training role with real influence over strategy, this qualifies. What you build here shapes the program a year from now, not just this quarter's numbers.
Compensation and Perks
- USD 75,055 annually.
- Work from wherever you're based — no location requirement tied to this role.
- Health, dental, and vision coverage.
- A budget set aside specifically for certifications and continued learning.
- A defined path toward senior training or sales enablement positions.
Day-to-Day Reality
Some weeks are almost entirely spent building materials alone. Other weeks are back-to-back live sessions with barely a break between them. You'll need to be fine with both. Feedback should land without putting you on the defensive, and you should be willing to scrap a plan mid-program if it's clearly not working, even one you were attached to. Because the role is remote, reliability carries extra weight — the team needs to trust sessions start on time and materials are ready before anyone asks.
To Apply
Send your resume with a short note on your training background, and if you've got one, a sense of what your ideal onboarding program looks like. We review applications on a rolling basis and reach out directly to strong matches.
