Virtual Instructional Designer

Your creativity and expertise will help drive our educational programs' success and support our learners' professional growth. Key Responsibilities:- Instructional Design and Development:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to analyze learning needs and define instructional objectives.
- Design, develop, and implement engaging and interactive online learning materials, including e-learning modules, webinars, and multimedia content.
- Utilize instructional design models and best practices to create practical learning experiences that meet diverse learner needs.
- Course Creation and Maintenance:
- Develop comprehensive course outlines, storyboards, and prototypes to ensure clear and compelling content delivery.
- Create and edit multimedia components like videos, graphics, and interactive elements to enhance learning engagement.
- Regularly review and update existing courses to ensure they remain current and relevant.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Management:
- Upload, configure, and manage course content within the LMS, ensuring proper functionality and accessibility.
- Monitor learner progress and performance through the LMS, providing reports and insights to stakeholders as needed.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to LMS and course delivery, supporting learners and instructors.
- Evaluation and Improvement:
- Develop and administer assessments to measure learner comprehension and course effectiveness.
- Collect and analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
- Continuously refine and enhance instructional materials based on evaluation results and emerging best practices.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including educators, trainers, and technology specialists, to align instructional design with organizational goals.
- Communicate effectively with SMEs and other stakeholders to gather content expertise and ensure alignment with learning objectives.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to discussions on instructional design strategies and solutions.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Develop project timelines, track progress, and address any challenges that may arise during the design and development process.
- Coordinate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are of high quality.
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Masterβs degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in instructional design, focusing on virtual or online learning environments. Proven experience developing e-learning content and working with LMS platforms.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in instructional design methodologies and best practices.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia software.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
- Experience with Agile project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and practices for online learning.
- Familiarity with SCORM and xAPI standards for e-learning content.
- Experience in designing for diverse learner populations and inclusive learning environments.
