Location: Remote Annual Salary: USD 70,514 Position Overview: We seek a highly skilled and motivated Online LMS (Learning Management System) Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:

1. LMS Development and Customization:
   • Design, develop, and implement custom features and functionalities within the LMS platform to meet organizational needs.
   • Customize existing LMS platforms by modifying code, integrating third-party tools, and configuring system settings.
   • Ensure the LMS is scalable, secure, and capable of handling increasing users and content.
2. Platform Management and Maintenance:
   • Monitor and maintain the performance, security, and stability of the LMS.
   • Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups to ensure smooth operation and data integrity.
   • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the LMS, including user access problems, system errors, and integration issues.
3. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
   • Work closely with instructional designers, educators, and other stakeholders to understand and translate their needs into functional LMS features.
   • Provide technical support and training to users, including creating user guides, tutorials, and documentation.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the LMS with the organization's other systems and tools.
4. Quality Assurance and Testing:
   • Conduct thorough testing of LMS features and functionalities to ensure they meet quality standards and user requirements.
   • Develop and execute test plans, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
   • Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
5. Technical Documentation and Reporting:
   • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to LMS development, configuration, and troubleshooting.
   • Prepare and present regular reports on LMS performance, user engagement, and system issues to management.
   • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in LMS development.
6. Project Management:
   • Lead and manage LMS development projects from inception to completion, including planning, execution, and delivery.
   • Develop timelines, set milestones, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
   • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to support LMS development and implementation.

Qualifications:

1. Education and Experience:
   • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
   • Proven experience in LMS development, including experience with popular LMS platforms such as Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas, or similar.
   • Strong programming skills in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL.
2. Technical Skills:
   • Proficiency in LMS administration, configuration, and customization.
   • Experience with database management and web development technologies.
   • Familiarity with e-learning standards and protocols such as SCORM, xAPI, and LTI.
3. Soft Skills:
   • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
   • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
   • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a remote work environment.
4. Preferred Qualifications:
   • Experience with LMS integration and data migration.
