Key Responsibilities

Counseling Services

• Provide therapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups using evidence-based approaches.
• Conduct thorough psychological assessments and develop customized treatment strategies.
• Offer crisis intervention and short-term counseling when immediate assistance is needed.
• Utilize techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support clients.
• Track progress and modify treatment plans to promote continued improvement.

Treatment Planning & Documentation

• Create and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each client’s needs.
• Maintain up-to-date, confidential client records in compliance with all regulatory standards.
• Follow ethical guidelines to ensure the privacy and security of client information.

Collaboration & Advocacy

• Coordinate with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive client care.
• When required, offer referrals to external specialists, community resources, and other support services.
• Assist clients in navigating mental health services and advocate for their needs.
• Participate in meetings, training sessions, and case reviews to enhance professional skills and service quality.

Qualifications

Educational & Licensing Requirements

• Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification as per state guidelines.
• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related mental health field.
• At least 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience in mental health counseling.
• Strong ability to apply therapeutic methods effectively in client treatment.

Skills & Expertise

• Expertise in various therapy modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• High emotional intelligence, empathy, and excellent active listening abilities.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and maintaining accurate case documentation.
• Skilled in trauma-informed care and crisis intervention strategies.
