Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment conducive to productivity and teamwork.
- Delegate tasks effectively, ensuring each team member understands and performs their responsibilities efficiently.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support the professional development of team members.
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including incoming and outgoing shipments, stock counts, and discrepancies.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize losses, damages, and theft while optimizing space utilization within the warehouse.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely replenishment of stock and availability of products as per demand.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods, streamlining workflow and minimizing errors.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technological tools to automate tasks and optimize operational performance.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Uphold strict adherence to health and safety regulations, ensuring that all warehouse activities comply with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, proactively mitigate risks, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Provide training on safety procedures and emergency protocols to warehouse personnel, promoting a culture of safety awareness and accident prevention.
- Customer Service and Quality Assurance:
- Collaborate with the customer service team to fulfill orders accurately and efficiently, meeting or exceeding customer expectations for timeliness and product quality.
- Implement quality control measures to inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, identify any discrepancies or defects, and take corrective action as necessary.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional service and building strong client relationships.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience in warehouse management or a similar role is advantageous but not mandatory. Fresher candidates with a strong academic background and a willingness to learn are also encouraged to apply.
