Key Responsibilities:
- Medical Consultation:
- Provide virtual consultations to patients or healthcare providers, delivering expert medical advice and recommendations.
- Review and analyze patient medical histories, symptoms, and diagnostic information to offer accurate and actionable medical guidance.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure coordinated care.
- Case Management:
- Manage and track ongoing medical cases, ensuring timely follow-ups and updates.
- Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems to document consultations, treatment plans, and patient progress.
- Address and resolve any issues or concerns related to patient care, maintaining high service quality standards.
- Medical Research and Analysis:
- Stay current with medical research, guidelines, and advancements to provide evidence-based recommendations.
- Analyze medical literature and clinical studies to support clinical decision-making and enhance patient outcomes.
- Patient Education and Support:
- Educate patients on their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures through virtual platforms.
- Support and answer patient questions, ensuring they understand their health and treatment plan clearly.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care.
- Participate in virtual meetings and case discussions to contribute expertise and collaborate on patient care strategies.
- Compliance and Documentation:
- Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, guidelines, and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all consultations and patient interactions by legal and ethical standards.
- Education: Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Valid medical license in at least one state or region, with the ability to obtain licensure in additional states if required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in a medical practice or hospital setting. Experience with telemedicine or virtual consultations is highly desirable.
