Day to Day

Who We're Looking For

- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 2 years transcribing in a clinical or medical environment.
- Typing: 70 words per minute minimum, and accurate, not just fast.
- Working knowledge of EHR systems and standard transcription or word-processing software.
- Grammar and spelling that hold up without heavy editing.
- Your own equipment: a dependable computer, solid internet, and a headset that actually blocks noise.
- Comfortable working alone, with minimal hand-holding, on a deadline.
Bonus Points For
- A transcription certification or coursework in a healthcare-related program.
- Experience in a specialty area — radiology, cardiology, orthopedics, whatever it may be.
- Familiarity with voice-recognition editing tools.
- A history of low error rates on high-volume work.
