Most people don't fail at getting healthier because they lack willpower. They fail because nobody ever sat down with them to build a plan that fits their actual lives. That's the gap we're hiring for. We need a
Virtual Health and Wellness Specialist who can take someone's scattered goals — lose weight, sleep better, stress less, eat like an adult — and turn them into something they can actually follow.
This is a remote, full-time role paying $80,638 a year. You'll carry your own roster of clients and guide them through fitness, nutrition, and mental wellness changes that stick past week three.
Your Day-to-Day
No two client calls look the same, but the rhythm of the work stays consistent.
- Meet with clients over video, phone, or chat to understand their goals, habits, and roadblocks
- Build wellness plans that cover exercise, food, sleep, and stress — not just one slice of health
- Coach clients through setbacks without letting a bad week turn into a bad quarter
- Teach practical stress-reduction tools like breathing techniques or short mindfulness practices
- Give nutrition guidance clients can use at a grocery store, not just in theory
- Adjust exercise routines as fitness levels change, and flag form issues before they become injuries
- Check in on a regular cadence so plans don't quietly fall apart between sessions
- Know when a client's mental health needs are beyond your scope, and refer out to a licensed professional
What Gets You Hired
We're less interested in a perfect resume than in someone who can actually hold a client accountable without sounding like a lecture.
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, nutrition, kinesiology, psychology, or something in that neighborhood
- A recognized certification — Certified Health Coach, Certified Nutritionist, or an equivalent credential
- At least 2 years working in health coaching, wellness programming, or a closely related role
- Real working knowledge of fitness, nutrition, and mental wellness — not just one specialty
- Comfortable running sessions on Zoom or similar platforms without technical hiccups derailing the conversation
- Organized enough to track a full caseload of client progress without things slipping through the cracks
A background in group coaching, corporate wellness programs, or a specific niche like postpartum fitness or diabetes management won't be required, but it'll stand out.
Why This Role Works
Wellness coaching burns people out fast when it's just call after call with no structure behind it. We build in time to actually think between sessions instead of stacking clients back-to-back all day. Naukri Mitra shared this opening with candidates looking for coaching work that pays fairly and still leaves room for a life outside of it — that's the trade we're offering here too.
Compensation and Perks
The role pays $80,638 annually. Beyond the paycheck:
- A schedule you largely control, built around when your clients actually need you
- Ongoing funding for certifications and continuing education in the wellness field
- A fully remote setup, no office commute eating into your day
- Access to internal resources and tools that make client tracking and program design easier
Staying Sharp
Wellness science moves. What worked five years ago on nutrition timing or recovery protocols doesn't always hold up now. Part of the job is staying current — reading new research, testing new coaching approaches, and adjusting your own toolkit instead of running the same playbook for every client indefinitely.
How Client Relationships Actually Work Here
You're not handed a script. You're handed a person, and it's on you to figure out what actually moves them — some clients need tough accountability; others need someone to slow down and celebrate a five-pound loss, because it does. Progress gets tracked through regular check-ins, and plans shift when something isn't landing. Clients should never feel like they're talking to a wellness app with a human voice attached.
Who Can Apply
This position is open to remote applicants worldwide, including candidates based in the U.S., India, and other eligible regions. Location matters less than whether you can show up consistently for clients across time zones.
Next Steps
