Key Responsibilities
Design & Visualization
Create original apparel concepts using advanced digital illustration software like Adobe Illustrator and Procreate.
Develop garment patterns, silhouettes, and textures using 3D design software including CLO 3D, Marvelous Designer, and Browzwear.
Simulate realistic garment fits, draping, and movement using real-time physics engines for hyper-realistic virtual representation.
Design interactive and AR/VR-compatible garments for fashion shows, digital marketplaces, and virtual avatars.
Transform traditional fashion techniques into high-tech, sustainable digital fashion workflows.
Collaboration & Workflow Management
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including 3D artists, UI/UX designers, merchandisers, and digital product managers to ensure cohesive designs.
Manage version control of digital assets through cloud-based platforms such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and Figma.
Participate in agile sprint reviews and virtual brainstorming sessions to align with brand direction and marketing goals.
Build and maintain digital mood boards, tech packs, and virtual prototypes for internal and client reviews.
Contribute to continuous improvement in digital asset pipelines and prototyping efficiencies.
Innovation & Tech Integration
Analyze trend forecasting data and predictive analytics tools to create forward-thinking fashion collections.
Integrate AI-powered design tools like Midjourney, Runway ML, and DALL-E to generate design variations and concept art.
Experiment with automation software to reduce design cycle time and improve asset scalability.
Utilize machine learning algorithms to refine textile simulation and predictive sizing models for various digital avatars.
Conduct real-time testing of garments in AR/VR platforms to ensure immersive and interactive user experiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Educational & Technical Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Digital Arts, Game Design, or equivalent industry experience.
Proficiency in virtual apparel tools such as CLO 3D, Marvelous Designer, and Substance Painter.
Strong foundational understanding of garment construction, fit, textile types, and digital pattern-making.
Ability to design for various digital formats, including 3D characters, virtual stores, AR displays, and metaverse environments.
Adept at integrating physical fashion knowledge into virtual apparel for believable and scalable designs.
Design & Portfolio Requirements
Digital portfolio showcasing various 3D fashion garments, virtual wearables, and avatar outfits.
Strong visual storytelling and rendering skills using Blender, KeyShot, or other visualization tools.
Examples of experimental digital textiles or fashion technology integrations will be a plus.
Demonstrations of garments in virtual simulations or interactive environments are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills (Bonus Points)
Advanced Tech & Design Knowledge
Experience with AR/VR engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine for fashion experiences.
Familiarity with avatar platforms like Roblox, Zepeto, or Decentraland.
Awareness of blockchain-enabled fashion NFTs and digital fashion licensing systems.
Agile or SCRUM certification or demonstrated experience in sprint-based design projects.
Experience designing garments for gaming or eCommerce integration.
