Frequently Asked Questions

You’ll need solid UX/UI fundamentals; there's no way around that. Beyond tools like Figma or Adobe apps, what really stands out is how you think—can you simplify complex ideas and turn them into something people actually enjoy using? In this role, communication matters just as much as design. You’ll be explaining choices, not just making them.
Most of the work revolves around digital products—web apps, mobile interfaces, and sometimes full platform experiences. You might start with rough concepts one week and be polishing final screens the next. This role isn’t isolated either; expect regular back-and-forth with developers and product folks.
It’s definitely part of the picture, but not in a rigid, corporate way. In this role, leadership often means helping others improve—reviewing designs, giving honest feedback, and setting a standard through your own work. You won’t just design; you’ll influence how design happens.
A portfolio that tells a story usually wins. Not just polished screens, but the messy middle—why decisions were made, what changed along the way, and what the final outcome achieved. For this role, real product work tends to carry more weight than experimental visuals.
There’s always a bit of tension between creativity and real-world limits—deadlines, tech constraints, business goals. This role also comes with the challenge of staying organized while juggling multiple projects. And since it’s remote, you need to be comfortable working independently without losing touch with the team.
