Remote Grant Compliance Analyst
Location: Remote Annual Salary: USD 88,486 Position Overview: We seek a highly skilled and detail-oriented Remote Grant Compliance Analyst to join our team. This position is crucial in ensuring our organizationβs grant-funded projects adhere to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in grant management and compliance, with a deep understanding of federal, state, and private funding requirements. As a Remote Grant Compliance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our mission by monitoring grant activities, conducting audits, and providing guidance on compliance matters. Key Responsibilities:- Compliance Monitoring:
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of grant-funded projects to ensure adherence to federal, state, and private funding regulations.
- Monitor and track grant expenditures to verify they align with approved budgets and financial guidelines.
- Evaluate and report on the compliance status of grant projects, identifying any discrepancies or areas of concern.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports on grant compliance, including findings, recommendations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all compliance-related documentation, including grant agreements, financial statements, and audit results.
- Develop and update internal compliance documentation, policies, and procedures as necessary.
- Grant Management Support:
- Assisted in developing and reviewing grant proposals to ensure they met compliance requirements before submission.
- Provide guidance and support to project managers and grant recipients on compliance issues, including financial reporting and documentation requirements.
- Facilitate training sessions and workshops on compliance matters for staff and stakeholders.
- Audit and Investigation:
- Lead or participate in internal and external audits related to grant compliance, including preparing audit materials and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve any issues or discrepancies identified during audits or routine monitoring.
- Collaborate with auditors and regulatory agencies to ensure timely and accurate resolution of compliance issues.
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Assist in developing and implementing grant compliance policies and procedures to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Stay informed about relevant regulations and guidelines changes, and update policies and procedures accordingly.
- Recommend improvements to existing compliance processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as a point of contact for compliance-related inquiries from grant recipients, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure alignment of grant activities with organizational policies and compliance requirements.
- Through clear communication and effective problem-solving, foster positive relationships with grant recipients and stakeholders.
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masterβs degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Public Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor) is preferred.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in grant management, compliance, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing and monitoring grant-funded projects.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and private grant regulations and requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and policies.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using grant management software and financial systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations clearly and effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote work environment.
- This position is remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements.
- Occasional travel may be required for training or audit purposes.
