What You’ll Do — Core Responsibilities

Take charge of legal strategies that propel our nonprofit mission forward. You will act as a trusted resource, collaborator, and thought partner across teams. Day-to-day, your role will include:

• Providing legal advice on nonprofit governance, charitable solicitation laws, and IRS compliance
• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, including grants, partnerships, vendor agreements, and MOUs
• Advising on employment law matters, intellectual property, and risk management in a nonprofit setting
• Supporting board relations and drafting organizational policies that align with state and federal regulations
• Ensuring compliance with 501(c)(3) regulations and advising on lobbying and political activity boundaries
• Offering legal input on program initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and content creation
• Staying abreast of legal developments affecting the nonprofit sector and recommending proactive actions

• Experience advising on charitable registration, fundraising compliance, or nonprofit employment law
• Excellent judgment and the ability to translate legal complexities into clear, actionable guidance
• Confidence working independently in a fast-paced, virtual environment
