What You’ll Do—Your Day-to-Day Impact

• Submit and track dental insurance claims through digital systems, ensuring that all details match those in the patient files.
• Use up-to-date CDT, ICD-10, and CPT codes for each procedure or diagnosis
• Double-check dental charts and electronic records to catch any errors and solve them quickly
• Work closely with dentists, hygienists, and administrative teams to clarify information or answer questions about billing
• Take on denied claims and insurance appeals, finding ways to turn rejections into approvals
• Treat every bit of patient data as confidential, meeting all HIPAA requirements and handling information safely
• Help keep accounts balanced by tracking unpaid bills and reaching out professionally when collections are needed

What We Look For—Your Experience and Qualities

• Real-world experience handling dental billing and coding (remote experience is a plus)
• Solid grasp of dental terms, procedures, and coding systems like CDT, ICD-10, and CPT
• Confident in insurance verification and claims workflows
• Able to review and understand Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and handle tricky questions from insurers
• Great at finding solutions, catching details, and keeping organized
• Clear, friendly communication, both in writing and when talking with others
• Always professional and respectful with sensitive information
• Open to learning new technology and willing to adapt as things change
