Somebody has to look at the stuff people post online and decide if it stays up. That's this job. We're hiring a remote Online Content Review Assistant to check submitted content against our guidelines and catch what doesn't belong before it reaches everyone else.
The Basics
You'll spend most of your day reviewing posts, images, and other user submissions, deciding what gets approved, edited, or pulled. It pays
$60,000 a year, and you can work from home, wherever that happens to be, as long as the internet holds up.
What Fills Your Day
- Going through submitted content and checking it against policy — tone, accuracy, whether it belongs
- Deciding case by case whether something should be approved, sent back for edits, or removed
- Double-checking claims that look off before they spread further
- Writing up patterns you notice, like a spike in a certain type of flagged post, so the wider team knows
- Using our review tools and AI-assisted flags to speed things up, though the final call is always yours
- Bringing tricky cases to your team lead when the guidelines don't quite cover it
- Suggesting tweaks to the guidelines themselves when you keep hitting the same gray area
What Gets You Hired
A
high school diploma or equivalent covers the minimum education requirement. Past that, we want at least
1 year somewhere that required judgment calls — moderation, quality review, customer support, that sort of thing.

- You write clearly enough that someone can follow why you made a decision
- You're fair. Not harsh, not soft — consistent
- You know your way around online tools and dashboards well enough to pick up new ones fast

Not Required, But It Helps
- Time spent in trust and safety, moderation, or community management work
- Some background in fact-checking or spotting misinformation
- Having used content review or flagging software before
