Virtual Learning and Development Specialist
Location: Remote Salary: $57,000 per year Position Overview: We seek a dynamic and innovative Virtual Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. Key Responsibilities:- Design and Develop Training Programs: Create and implement engaging virtual learning programs that cater to the needs of our diverse workforce. This includes designing curricula, developing content, and selecting appropriate learning technologies.
- Deliver Virtual Training Sessions: Lead live virtual training sessions and webinars using various online platforms. Ensure sessions are interactive, informative, and tailored to the audience's needs.
- Evaluate Learning Outcomes: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics. Use this data to improve and adapt training materials and methods continuously.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with department heads, subject matter experts, and other stakeholders to identify training needs and develop solutions that align with organizational goals.
- Maintain Learning Management Systems (LMS): Oversee the administration of the LMS, ensuring that it is up-to-date, user-friendly, and effectively supports the delivery of virtual training.
- Develop Learning Resources: To enhance the virtual learning experience, create and curate various learning resources, including e-learning modules, video content, and interactive exercises.
- Stay Current with Trends: Keep abreast of the latest trends and best practices in virtual learning and development. Implement innovative approaches to keep our training programs relevant and engaging.
- Support Learners: Provide ongoing support to learners, including answering questions, providing feedback, and offering additional resources to help them succeed in their development goals.
- Manage Training Projects: Lead and manage training projects from conception through execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design, or a related field. A Masterβs degree or relevant certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)) is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in learning and development, focusing on virtual training. Proven experience designing and delivering online learning solutions is essential.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with virtual training tools and platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex) is required. Experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard) is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
