As a Virtual Ergonomics Specialist, you will analyze and improve ergonomic practices across various virtual work environments, ensuring employees work comfortably and efficiently. Key Responsibilities:- Virtual Ergonomic Assessments:
- Conduct thorough virtual ergonomic assessments for individual employees and teams, using video conferencing and digital tools to evaluate workstations and work habits.
- Identify ergonomic risks and recommend practical adjustments to enhance comfort and productivity, including desk setup, chair adjustments, and monitor positioning.
- Ergonomic Consultation:
- Provide expert advice and ergonomic guidance to employees, managers, and HR teams. Address specific concerns and answer ergonomics and workspace optimization questions.
- Develop and deliver ergonomic training sessions and workshops remotely, focusing on best practices for maintaining ergonomic health in a virtual environment.
- Policy and Procedure Development:
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement ergonomic policies and procedures tailored to remote work settings.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in ergonomics to ensure policies are current and effective.
- Ergonomic Equipment Recommendations:
- Evaluate and recommend ergonomic equipment and accessories suitable for remote work, such as ergonomic chairs, keyboards, and mouse devices.

- Data Collection and Analysis:

- Support for Injury Prevention:
- Identify and address potential ergonomic-related injuries or discomfort employees report, providing solutions to prevent recurrence and promote overall well-being.
- Collaborate with health and safety teams to integrate ergonomic considerations into broader injury prevention strategies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of ergonomic assessments, recommendations, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on ergonomic initiatives, outcomes, and areas for improvement, presenting findings to management and stakeholders as needed.
- Education: Bachelorβs degree in Ergonomics, Occupational Health, Human Factors, or a related field. Advanced certifications or training in ergonomics is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in ergonomics or occupational health, preferably focusing on remote or virtual work environments.
