Virtual Diversity and Inclusion Specialist â Work From Anywhere
Help Shape a More Inclusive, Human-Centered Workplace
Letâs get real for a second: Diversity and inclusion arenât just checkboxes. Theyâre culture-shaping. Theyâre people-first. And theyâre absolutely essential to doing great workâtogether. Thatâs where
you come in.
This remote role is all about building bridges, breaking bias, and helping real people thrive. Youâll be a champion of equity, inclusion, and belongingâright from your laptop.
Sound exciting? It is.
What Youâll Really Be Doing
Letâs skip the corporate fluff. Hereâs what your day-to-day might actually look like:
- Chatting with team leads about inclusive hiring practices over Zoom.
- Running a quick bias-busting workshop for a department that just doubled in size.
- Spotting micro-moments where exclusion can creep inâand flipping the script.
- Reviewing language in company policies to make sure everyone feels seen.
- Holding space for real talk in team forums, roundtables, and check-ins.
You wonât just "consult." Youâll embed. Partner. Build. Rebuild.
And yes, sometimes youâll roll up your sleeves and run spreadsheets. But mostly? Youâll help real people feel like they matter.
Why This Role Matters (More Than You Think)
Remote teams are powerful. But theyâre not always inclusive by default. Time zones. Cultures. Quiet voices. They all matter.
Youâll help us:
- Create truly inclusive remote spaces where every voice is heard.
- Lead cultural change across teams that span continents.
- Design equitable systems so promotions, performance reviews, and hiring arenât just "fair enough," but deeply intentional.
- Listen, learn, and advocate without making it about "checking a box."
And when something isnât working? Youâll say it. With empathy, but without sugarcoating.
How We Stay Human (Even on Zoom)
Remote work can get lonely. We get it.
Thatâs why weâve built in weekly team huddles, virtual coffee chats, and opt-in support circles. We celebrate cultural holidays together. Weâve got Slack channels that range from #inclusion-wins to #mentalhealth to #bookclub.
Honestly, the workâs not always easy. But
youâre not doing it alone.

A Few Stories That Made Us Proud
Just to give you a feel for the work:
- Last year, one of our ERGs helped rewrite our parental leave policy. They saw a gap, spoke up, and we backed them.
- During Black History Month, we didnât just post on social. We hosted paid speakers, funded Black-led nonprofits, and launched an internal mentorship circle.
- After a team feedback survey, we realized some onboarding flows were unintentionally excluding international hires. Within 3 weeks, you better believe we fixed it.
Weâre not perfect. But weâre real, and weâre trying.
This Might Be Right for You If...
- You believe equity and inclusion work should be baked into everything.
- You can hold space for tough conversations without shutting people down.
- You love systems thinking, but also trust your gut.
- Youâve seen performative DEIâand know how to build the opposite.
- Youâre comfortable saying, "Letâs rethink this."
