Position Overview:
We seek a highly skilled and experienced Senior Remote LMS Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about Learning Management Systems (LMS) and adept at managing, optimizing, and supporting LMS platforms. The Senior Remote LMS Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that our LMS infrastructure runs smoothly, providing excellent user support, and driving continuous improvement in our learning technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- LMS Administration and Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day administration of the LMS, including user management, course management, and system configurations.
- Manage LMS integrations with other systems (e.g., HRIS, CRM) to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
- Perform regular system updates, patches, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security of the LMS.
- Technical Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide advanced technical support to end-users, addressing complex issues related to system functionality, course access, and content delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related issues, working with technical teams as necessary to implement solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation and knowledge base articles for users and internal teams.
- LMS Optimization and Improvement:
- Analyze LMS usage data and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to increase system efficiency and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess training needs and recommend solutions to meet those needs effectively through the LMS.
- Evaluate new LMS features and tools, providing recommendations for implementation or integration.
- Training and Support:
- Develop and deliver end-user training sessions and materials, including instructional guides, video tutorials, and webinars.
- Support instructional designers and content developers in creating and deploying high-quality e-learning content within the LMS.
- Foster a supportive learning environment by offering guidance and assistance to users as they navigate and utilize the LMS.
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage LMS-related projects, including system upgrades, new feature rollouts, and other initiatives to enhance the LMS.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project timelines and objectives are met and deliverables are achieved.
- Compliance and Best Practices:
- Ensure the LMS complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best data security and privacy practices.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in LMS technology and e-learning practices, applying this knowledge to enhance the LMS environment.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate and analyze LMS reports to monitor system performance, user engagement, and training outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to management on LMS metrics, usage patterns, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Education Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in LMS administration and support, with a strong understanding of LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas).
- Proven experience in troubleshooting technical issues, managing system integrations, and implementing LMS enhancements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Experience in developing training materials and delivering training sessions for various audiences.
- Knowledge of e-learning standards and best practices, including SCORM, xAPI, and instructional design principles.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

- Advanced certifications in LMS platforms or related technologies.
- Experience with additional LMS tools and technologies.
