Remote Technical Support Data Analyst

📍 Anywhere 🏷️ Data Science & Analytics 💰 $130,500 / year
A dashboard breaks at the worst possible time, and nobody's sure if it's a data pipeline issue, a bad query, or something upstream in the system. Someone has to figure out which — fast, and without guessing. That's the job. We're hiring a Remote Technical Support Data Analyst who can troubleshoot technical problems and read the data behind them, not just one or the other.

What This Role Covers

You'll sit at the intersection of support and analysis — helping clients and internal teams resolve technical issues while also digging into the datasets that explain why those issues keep happening. Half the job is reactive: someone's stuck, and you need to get them unstuck. The other half is proactive: spotting a pattern in system logs before it turns into a wave of support tickets. Naukri Mitra is helping fill this opening for a team that treats support work as a source of real insight, not just a queue to clear.

Core Responsibilities

  • Provide remote technical support to clients and internal teams via chat, email, and video
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot software, system, and data-related issues
  • Analyze system logs and performance reports to catch and resolve technical problems
  • Document issues and resolutions so the next person isn't solving the same problem from scratch
  • Collaborate with engineers on software bugs and system inefficiencies
  • Clean and analyze large datasets using SQL, Python, or R to surface trends and anomalies
  • Build interactive dashboards in Tableau, Power BI, or Google Data Studio
  • Automate routine data tasks to cut down on manual, repetitive work
  • Act as the go-between for customers and engineering teams when issues need escalation

What You'll Need

Minimum education required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum experience: 3 years in a technical support, data analytics, or software engineering role. You'll need real command of SQL, Python, or R — not just enough to modify an existing script. Experience working with databases, APIs, and cloud platforms is expected, along with comfort troubleshooting across Linux/Unix, Windows, and macOS. Networking fundamentals and basic system administration knowledge matter too, since you'll be diagnosing problems that don't always announce themselves clearly. Just as important: the ability to explain a technical root cause to someone who doesn't know what a log file is.

Good to Have

  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and structured support methodologies
  • Exposure to machine learning models or AI-powered analytics
  • Understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and data protection practices

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role is $130,500. Beyond that:
  • Fully remote with a flexible schedule built around project needs, not a rigid clock
  • Ongoing training, certifications, and real leadership growth paths
  • Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave that people are actually encouraged to use
  • Exposure to modern tools in data analytics, automation, and AI-driven insights

Who Tends to Do Well Here

People who thrive in this role can hold two modes at once — calm and methodical when someone's frustrated and stuck, then sharp and analytical when they're digging through data an hour later. Attention to detail matters, since a missed anomaly in a dataset can turn into a much bigger support problem down the line. And a willingness to document things clearly, even when it's tempting to just fix it and move on, keeps the whole team from having to repeat the same troubleshooting work.

How the Team Operates

This is a fully remote setup with genuinely flexible hours, but the work still runs on collaboration — regular contact with cross-functional teams so technical fixes and data insights don't sit in separate silos. Feedback and process improvement are treated as ongoing, not something reserved for an annual review.

How to Apply

Send your resume along with a short example of a time you traced a technical issue back to its root cause using data, not just intuition. This role is open to professionals from the USA, Canada, the UK, European countries, Australia, India, and other eligible regions. If you like solving the "why" as much as the "how," we'd like to hear from you.
