Key Responsibilities

• Proofreading and Quality Assurance: Review and proofread transcribed medical reports for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and formatting errors. Verify the correct use of medical terminology, abbreviations, and drug names. Ensure consistency and adherence to client-specific formatting and style guidelines.
• Editing Transcriptions: Edit and revise documents to improve clarity and coherence while maintaining the original meaning. Correct transcription errors such as omissions, inconsistencies, or misinterpretations.
• Compliance and Confidentiality: Ensure all transcriptions comply with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements for patient privacy. Handle sensitive medical information with the utmost confidentiality and professionalism.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with medical transcriptionists and healthcare professionals to clarify uncertainties in dictations. Provide constructive feedback to transcriptionists to enhance the quality of their work.

Skills and Qualifications

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in medical transcription software and editing tools. Familiarity with word processing software such as Microsoft Word.
