Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership

• Guide the creative vision for residential, commercial, and hospitality projects
• Ensure each design reflects our inclusive workplace values and client needs
• Foster cohesion in style, narrative, and space utilization
• Define brand-aligned design frameworks and scalable design systems

Team Collaboration

• Lead, mentor, and uplift a remote team of talented designers
• Promote a culture of mutual respect, creativity, and idea-sharing
• Encourage design-thinking, shared learning, and collaboration
• Integrate cross-functional input from content, marketing, and tech teams

Project Oversight

• Manage full design life cycles: concept development, execution, and feedback
• ⏳ Ensure projects stay on track with timelines, budgets, and quality expectations
• Facilitate resource allocation and creative troubleshooting
• Standardize workflows to improve design efficiency

Client Communication

• Present design ideas clearly and professionally to diverse clients
• Adapt designs based on feedback while maintaining creative integrity
• Build trust through transparency, empathy, and excellence in delivery
• Educate clients on design principles, materials, and sustainability benefits

Remote Tools Mastery

• Use software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

• Promote efficient file sharing, documentation, and design visualization
• Stay updated with new technologies and digital design innovations

Qualifications & Skills

Required Experience

• 8+ years in interior design, with at least 2 years in a director or senior role
• A global mindset with a passion for inclusive design strategies
• Demonstrated success leading creative direction for large-scale projects
• A well-developed portfolio that highlights your capacity to convey concepts and narratives through spatial planning

Technical Proficiency

• Proficiency in leading design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.)
• Ability to effectively work and lead within remote-first environments
• Deep understanding of design systems, principles, and detailing
• Familiarity with project estimation, budgeting, and proposal development

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent verbal and visual presentation skills
• Compassionate and empowering leadership approach
• Exceptional relationship-building abilities and a natural talent for motivating others collaboratively
• Conflict resolution and constructive feedback capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• LEED or WELL certification
• Multilingual or international project experience
• Experience in cross-sectoral design, including residential, retail, and hospitality
• Exposure to data-driven design processes or user testing
