Remote Adobe Photoshop Designer

📍 Anywhere 🏷️ Graphic & Web Design 💰 $90,148 / year
Bad lighting on a product photo quietly kills sales, and most people never trace it back to the actual cause. Fixing that, and a hundred smaller things like it, is basically the job. We're hiring a remote Photoshop designer to take rough shots, half-finished campaign briefs, and messy asset requests and turn them into things people actually click on, trust, or buy.

The Role Itself

Onboarding graphics, product imagery, and campaign assets for social and email. You'll be the one making the visuals users actually see. One week might mean cleaning up a product shot so a listing stops underperforming. Another might mean building a hero image that has to hold up at billboard size and mobile thumbnail size at the same time, which is harder than it sounds.

Responsibilities

Most weeks look something like this:
  • Designing visuals for onboarding flows, product pages, and landing pages
  • Retouching and compositing product photography for marketing and e-commerce
  • Keeping assets on-brand even when the deadline is tighter than anyone would like
  • Producing social ad and email creative that doesn't get scrolled past in three seconds
  • Adapting one core visual across mobile, web, and high-res print without it falling apart
  • Building templates other teams can reuse so they stop waiting on you for tiny edits
  • Coordinating with marketing, engineering, and customer success so visuals stay consistent everywhere

Qualifications

Education: Associate degree. Experience: 3+ years in graphic design or visual content creation, with Photoshop as your main tool day to day. A portfolio showing real range in retouching, compositing, and image manipulation counts for more here than one polished style shown ten different ways. You should be comfortable designing for web, mobile, and print, since a single asset often has to survive all three. Priorities shift mid-project more than people expect in this line of work, so quality needs to hold up through that. Time zone differences come up constantly too, so experience handing work off cleanly across a distributed team actually matters.

Nice to Have

  • Comfortable in Illustrator and Figma, not just Photoshop
  • Some exposure to Photoshop automation or batch processing
  • Familiarity with digital asset management tools
  • Actually keeps an eye on design trends instead of defaulting to what's already familiar

Tools

Photoshop, Illustrator, and Figma, available through Adobe Creative Cloud, make up the core stack. Slack for talking, Notion for planning. Designers who've come into similar remote roles through Naukri Mitra tend to ramp up the quickest when they already move between these tools with little friction, though nobody's expected to be fluent in all three from day one.

How the Work Actually Runs

You'll work directly with marketing strategists, engineers, and customer success leads, not pull tickets off a queue by yourself. Briefs are vague sometimes; that's just the nature of it, and when that happens, you're expected to make a call and be able to explain your reasoning rather than sit and wait for someone to spell it out. Feedback happens often. It's treated as part of getting better at the craft, not something to brace for every time it shows up.

Pay and Benefits

  • $90,148 annual salary
  • Fully remote, work from wherever your setup actually works for you
  • Paid time off and company holidays
  • Health coverage contribution
  • Stipend for software, courses, or a design conference here and there
  • Direct mentorship from senior designers already on the team

What Comes After This

Designers who grow into this role often end up in senior visual design, art direction, or brand strategy. If you spot a shift in design trends worth acting on, that actually gets heard, it doesn't just sit in a doc nobody opens.

Why It's Worth Doing

A confusing product photo costs a sale, plain and simple. A hero image that lands drives real engagement, not just an impression count nobody does anything with. Every asset either clears up a decision for someone or adds friction to it. That's the whole point of this role.

Applying

Send a portfolio showcasing your range across retouching, compositing, and full-campaign work, along with your professional background in Photoshop. Judgment matters as much as raw speed in the software. How you handle a vague brief tells us more than how fast you can hit undo. Open to designers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Australia, India, and other regions, as long as you can work fully remote.
