Naukri Mitra is hiring an Online Professional Resume Writer to close that gap — someone who can sit with a client's messy career history and pull out the parts worth putting in front of a recruiter — and format them so the software scanning the resume doesn't lose them first.
This is a fully remote, salaried position at
$45,000 per year.
What This Job Covers
This isn't a one-document role. You'll be handling the full suite of career materials for each client:
- Writing and formatting resumes tailored to a client's industry, seniority level, and target roles
- Drafting cover letters that complement the resume rather than repeat it
- Rewriting and optimizing LinkedIn profiles — headline, summary, and experience sections
- Editing existing resumes for clarity, consistency, and overall polish
- Running client consultations to extract real achievements, not just job duties
- Advising clients on career transitions and how to reposition past experience for a new field
- Incorporating relevant keywords so documents pass through applicant tracking systems cleanly
Who Fits This Role
You'll need at least
2 years of professional experience in resume writing, career coaching, or HR-related writing, and a
Bachelor's degree as the minimum education requirement.
- Strong consultation skills — you'll be interviewing clients who often undersell their own work
- Comfort writing across multiple formats: resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn copy
- Solid grasp of ATS formatting requirements and how keyword placement affects visibility
- Ability to manage several client files concurrently without missing deadlines
- Clean, consistent written English with strong editing instincts
Nice to Have
- Background in HR, recruiting, or career coaching
- Experience writing for executive-level or highly technical clients
- Familiarity with LinkedIn algorithm behavior and profile SEO
- A portfolio spanning multiple industries and seniority levels
