Overview: We are currently seeking skilled and experienced drivers for our organization in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe, comfortable, and timely transportation for our passengers. As a driver, you will manage various types of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained and operationally fit. You will be a key part of our logistics team, supporting different departments and clientele based on transportation needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Transportation: Safely drive passengers or goods to assigned destinations. Whether it's point-to-point transfers or multiple destinations, your primary duty is to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect the vehicle, ensuring itβs clean, in good working condition, and adheres to safety standards. Notify the company or relevant department about any maintenance issues that arise.
- Adherence to Traffic Rules: Follow all local traffic laws, regulations, and driving practices to ensure the safety of passengers and cargo. Maintain a courteous and respectful driving demeanor at all times.
- Time Management: Punctually pick up and drop off passengers, ensuring that schedules are adhered to. You must have a clear understanding of Mumbai's road network, traffic patterns, and alternate routes in case of roadblocks or congestion.
- Record Keeping: Maintain an accurate log of trips, fuel consumption, and any other required documentation related to the vehicleβs usage.
- Communication: Maintain clear communication with the transport coordinator or management, informing them of any delays, issues, or incidents that may occur during your trips.
- Customer Service: Provide a professional and friendly service to passengers, ensuring that their experience is comfortable and enjoyable.
Requirements:
- Valid Driving License: The candidate must possess a valid LMV (Light Motor Vehicle) driving license for India.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years of driving experience, preferably in Mumbai, with knowledge of local routes, traffic conditions, and safety procedures.
- Communication Skills: Ability to understand and speak Hindi and basic English. Marathi language skills are an added advantage.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the operational requirements.
- Knowledge of GPS & Navigation Systems: Familiarity with using GPS systems for navigation and efficient route planning.
- Fitness: The role requires a reasonable level of physical fitness, as you may be required to assist with loading or unloading passengers' luggage.
- Police Verification: Clean background with police verification, ensuring no prior criminal records.
- Professionalism: Exhibit professional behavior, good conduct, and punctuality at all times. Uphold company values and represent the company positively during interactions with clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving multiple types of vehicles such as sedans, SUVs, or minibuses.
- Defensive driving certification.
- First Aid training or any relevant safety courses.
Working Conditions:
- You will be required to drive across Mumbai, and at times, to nearby cities depending on company requirements.
- The role may involve working in traffic congestion, with flexibility needed in case of traffic delays.
- Some trips may involve long-distance driving and late or early hours, as required by the client or company.
