Job Responsibilities
As a driver with us, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Transport Duties: Safely operate company vehicles to transport goods, materials, and personnel as needed throughout Mumbai and surrounding areas.
- Route Planning: Efficiently plan routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations and company policies.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of your vehicle, reporting any maintenance needs, and ensuring it is clean and operational at all times.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards and protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, your passengers, and the general public.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents. Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries and pickups.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients and customers professionally and courteously, assisting as needed to enhance their experience.
- emergency response: Be prepared to handle emergencies, accidents, or unexpected issues, including making necessary calls to authorities if needed.
- Assistance in Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring that items are secured properly.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of driving experience, preferably in a logistics or transportation setting.
- License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate both light and heavy vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of Mumbai Roads: Familiarity with local routes, traffic laws, and regulations in Mumbai.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to handle physical demands, including lifting and moving goods.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Reliability: Demonstrated reliability and punctuality in previous roles.
- Background Check: Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
