Job Responsibilities
As a
Pure Veg Cook, you will be crucial in preparing nutritious and tasty vegetarian meals. Your daily responsibilities include:
Meal Preparation
- Prepare high-quality vegetarian meals using fresh and healthy ingredients sourced from local markets.
- Maintain consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation while meeting dietary requirements.
- Innovate and introduce new vegetarian recipes to enhance meal variety and nutrition.
- Customize dishes based on preferences, allergies, or dietary restrictions.
- Plan balanced menus incorporating a variety of vegetables, whole foods, legumes, and plant-based ingredients for a balanced diet.
Cooking & Plating
- Cook daily meals as per meal plans, ensuring flavors are well-balanced and appealing.
- Ensure timely preparation and serving of meals while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Follow food safety and hygiene guidelines while cooking and plating dishes.
- Prepare traditional and contemporary vegetarian dishes, including North Indian, South Indian, and fusion cuisine.
- Use proper cooking techniques such as steaming, sautéing, grilling, and baking to preserve nutrients and enhance flavors.
Kitchen Maintenance
- Keep the cooking area clean, organized, and well-maintained for a hygienic work environment.
- Properly store food ingredients to maintain freshness, minimize waste, and prevent contamination.
- Wash and sanitize utensils, cookware, and appliances after meal preparation.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment functions properly and report any maintenance needs.
- Follow best practices for food storage, including refrigeration and labeling, to maximize shelf life and reduce waste.
Grocery & Inventory Management
- Assist in making grocery lists and purchasing fresh vegetables, spices, dairy products, and other essential ingredients.
- Manage kitchen inventory efficiently, ensuring necessary ingredients are stocked while avoiding over-purchasing.
- Maintain a record of kitchen supplies and expenses for cost-effective meal preparation.
- Collaborate with the employer or team to plan budget-friendly meals without compromising quality.
Required Skills & Qualifications
