Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record Management:
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions including sales, purchases, payments, and receipts.
- Regularly update accounting systems and reconcile financial discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial data.
- Taxation & Compliance:
- Prepare and file GST, TDS, income tax returns, and other statutory compliances.
- Liaise with tax authorities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in tax audits and ensure timely submission of relevant documents.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify financial trends and provide actionable management insights.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable Management:
- Manage all accounts payable and receivable activities, ensuring timely processing and payments.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and customers to manage cash flow effectively.
- Audit Support:
- Assist in both internal and external audits by providing necessary financial information and documents.
- Implement audit recommendations and ensure proper internal controls.
- Cost Management:
- Analyze and control the company's operational costs, identifying areas where cost savings can be implemented.
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial advice and ensure that all expenditures align with the company's budget.
- Bank Reconciliations:
- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure that financial transactions match bank records.
- Resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Payroll Processing:
- Manage payroll accounts and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries and other employee benefits.
- Maintain employee records for tax filings and other statutory purposes.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP, QuickBooks) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.
- Knowledge of GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory audits is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Company Secretary (CS) certification is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience in handling audits and liaising with external auditors.
- Working knowledge of financial regulations and compliance in India.
