What You’ll Help Build

Real clarity for property teams. You’ll keep financial data clean, consistent, and easy to act on—so our clients can spend less time second-guessing numbers and more time growing. Efficient, repeatable systems. Whether it’s improving an invoicing flow or streamlining categorization rules in QuickBooks, you’ll set up systems that scale. Confidence and connection. Your work builds trust. Not just by balancing the books, but by giving clients confidence that everything’s under control.

Responsibilities That Drive Results

Be the go-to person for virtual bookkeeping Take ownership of daily and monthly accounting tasks—from reconciliations to preparing clean, audit-ready financials. ✅ Keep property finances organized and accurate You'll oversee the movement of money across rent, maintenance, taxes, and vendor payments—making sure nothing slips through the cracks. ✅ Collaborate with property teams Regular check-ins and report reviews keep everyone aligned. You’ll be the one who spots patterns, flags potential issues, and offers practical solutions. ✅ Find ways to work smarter You’ll explore ways to automate repeat tasks and help reduce manual errors through smart systems. ✅ Turn reports into decisions It’s not just about preparing reports. It’s about helping clients see what they mean and what to do next.

Who This Role Suits Best

You pay attention. You enjoy solving problems and catching details before they become problems. You see the big picture in the process. When something repeats too often, you look for a way to simplify or automate it. You make numbers feel approachable. You explain insights clearly and help clients feel confident, even if they’re not financially savvy. You know (or want to learn) real estate. If you’ve worked with property or real estate teams before, fantastic. If not, we’ll help you get up to speed.

Tools You Should Be Comfortable With

QuickBooks Online Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Drive) Slack, Zoom Calendly or similar tools Platforms like AppFolio or Buildium are a bonus

What Progress Looks Like

Within 3 months, you'll have:
  • Cleaned up at least one messy account and simplified the chart of accounts
  • Built trust with stakeholders by delivering reliable, timely reports
  • Automated a few manual processes to save hours every month
By 6 months:
  • You’ll be confidently managing multiple property books
  • Clients will turn to you for insights, not just reports
  • You’ll be recommending ways to improve and evolve our systems

What Helps You Stand Out

Not a rigid list—just a few indicators that this might be a strong fit:
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience (remote work preferred)
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Bonus: familiar with real estate or property workflows
  • Self-directed, with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working asynchronously with great communication habits
