Virtual Employee Culture Consultant

Why This Role is Different

Ever worked somewhere that said they cared about culture but didn’t really live it? We get it. That’s not us. Culture isn’t just a buzzword here—it’s our daily practice. We believe that the magic of a strong team doesn’t vanish just because we’re remote. In fact, we’ve learned it can be even stronger when done right. This role isn’t about sending out surveys or hosting a virtual pizza party once a year. It’s about building an everyday experience where people feel connected, valued, and excited to log in.

What You’ll Be Shaping

Your work will shape how we stay human in a digital workspace. You’ll be the heartbeat of our remote team culture—making sure our people feel supported, included, and inspired. You’ll design experiences that make someone in New York feel just as connected as someone in Sydney. From onboarding that feels like a warm welcome to recognition that actually means something—you’ll bring ideas to life.

A Typical Day? Well, No Two Are the Same

Some days you’re planning a company-wide “Coffee & Catch-Up” where people share weekend wins. Other days, you’re spotting friction points between teams and finding ways to fix them before they grow. Maybe you’re creating a new peer recognition system. Or perhaps you’re chatting with someone who’s feeling a bit disconnected and helping them find their spark again. We’re big on small moments that matter. Like that time we sent surprise care packages to the whole team just because they’d been crushing it during a busy season. Or the time we held a “Bring Your Pet to Zoom” day—complete chaos, totally worth it.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Keep connections alive – We’re talking regular, meaningful touchpoints. Not just another meeting that could have been an email.
  • Spot what’s working (and what’s not) – Whether it’s a new recognition tool or a change in team schedules, you’ll measure what sticks.
  • Help leaders lead better – Share insights and ideas that make managers stronger culture champions.
  • Celebrate big and small wins – Because recognition fuels motivation.
  • Bridge across time zones – Create ways for people to connect despite the miles.

Who You’ll Be Working With

You’ll work with everyone—literally. The leadership team will look to you for strategies. Team members will come to you with ideas, concerns, and moments they want to share. You’ll partner with HR, People Ops, and department leads to make sure culture isn’t a side project, it’s woven into everything. We’re a mix of early birds, night owls, parents, pet lovers, and travel enthusiasts. We know the juggle between work and life, and we celebrate both.

What We’d Love to See in You

  • People instincts – You get people. You can sense when something’s off, and you know how to turn it around.
  • Storytelling skills – You make things feel real. Whether it’s sharing a win or introducing a new initiative, you get people excited.
  • Empathy and listening – You don’t just hear words—you understand feelings.
  • Creativity – You bring fresh, practical ideas that fit our culture, not just trends.
  • Ability to keep many plates spinning – You can handle several projects at once while keeping your cool.
  • Comfort with remote tools – You know your way around platforms like Slack, Zoom, and project management tools.

Your Background Might Include

  • Experience leading culture, employee engagement, or people programs (remote or hybrid).
  • Running events, programs, or initiatives that made a real difference in how teams connect.
  • Managing feedback processes and turning insights into action.
  • Helping leaders build stronger, more human-centered workplaces.

How Success Looks Here

In six months, you’ve:
  • Built at least three new connection points for the team that people actually look forward to.
  • Helped managers adapt better ways to support their people.
  • Created a sense of “we” across the entire team—where someone on day 5 feels as connected as someone on year 5.
  • Reduced feelings of isolation among team members through your initiatives.

The Tools of the Trade

  • Communication – Clear, approachable, human.
  • Collaboration Platforms – Slack, Zoom, Miro, Trello, or whatever gets the job done.
  • Recognition Systems – From shout-outs to structured programs.
  • Feedback Channels – Surveys, one-on-ones, and informal check-ins.

Challenges You’ll Tackle

Remote work is amazing, but it’s not without its hurdles. People can feel out of the loop. Time zones can make teamwork tricky. Culture can drift if no one’s paying attention. That’s where you step in. You’ll help make sure that whether it’s Monday morning in London or Friday evening in Singapore, everyone still feels part of the same team.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • Flexibility – Work from wherever you feel most productive.
  • Real impact – Your work will shape how people experience their jobs.
  • Supportive team – We cheer each other on, share wins, and have each other’s backs.
  • Space to experiment – Try new things. If they work, great. If they don’t, we learn.
  • Fair pay – $125,000 annually for the right person.

A Few Real Moments from Our Team

  • That time we mailed coffee kits to everyone and had a “Brew & Chat” together.
  • The week someone started a random “show your desk plant” thread and it blew up.
  • The way birthdays never go unnoticed—even if it means scheduling a surprise call at odd hours.
  • When a teammate in another country felt low, and within a day, half the team had sent messages and little care packages.
These aren’t “programs” we run. They’re just how we operate.

Your First 90 Days

  • Month 1 – Get to know everyone. Observe what’s working, spot opportunities.
  • Month 2 – Launch one small initiative to bring people closer.
  • Month 3 – Share your first culture roadmap with the leadership team.

What We Value

  • Openness – We talk honestly, even when it’s tough.
  • Curiosity – We keep learning and trying new things.
  • Kindness – We treat people well, always.
  • Ownership – We take responsibility and make things happen.

If This Sounds Like You

You believe culture isn’t built in a meeting—it’s built in moments. You’re excited about making a difference every day, even in small ways. You’re ready to listen, create, and connect. And you want to work somewhere that doesn’t just talk about a great workplace—it is one.
