- Take crisis calls and show up in person when someone needs immediate help

- Sit with people who need to talk, and help them build habits and coping tools that actually stick
- Keep relationships warm with NGOs, shelters, and government contacts so referrals happen fast when they're needed
- Run small group sessions on things like budgeting, tenant rights, or where to go for free medical care
- Write up case notes properly — funders and auditors read these, so accuracy matters
What You Need to Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; a background in social work or a related field is a plus but not a dealbreaker
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in social work, counseling, or case management — though a strong internship record can substitute if you're a recent graduate
- You can hold a conversation in Marathi, Hindi, and English without a translator
- You know your way around local welfare schemes and can explain them to someone who's never heard of them
- You're fine working solo in the field one hour and coordinating with a team the next
- Comfortable typing up reports and using basic office software
