A page can be well-written and still sit on page four of search results, invisible to the people who actually needed it. Fixing that gap between good content and good rankings is the job.
We're hiring an
SEO Specialist for a fully remote position, working across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO rather than one narrow slice of the discipline.
What the Role Covers
Some days lean toward keyword research and content strategy. Others are spent deep in a technical audit, chasing down why a site's crawl budget is being wasted on pages nobody needs indexed. Both matter, and neither gets to be an afterthought here. You'll work with content and dev teams to make sure what gets built is actually built to rank, not just built and hoped for.
- Digging into search terms people actually use, then shaping pages around what they're really looking for
- Auditing and improving on-page elements — titles, meta descriptions, internal linking
- Identifying and fixing technical SEO issues like crawl errors or slow load times
- Building or overseeing backlink strategies that hold up over time
- Tracking rankings and organic traffic, then explaining what the numbers actually mean
- Working with content writers and developers so SEO gets built in, not bolted on after launch
What You'll Need
- Solid, hands-on experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or Google Search Console
- Working knowledge of both on-page and technical SEO fundamentals
- Comfortable reading analytics data and turning it into a clear action plan
- At least two years of SEO experience, whether in-house, agency, or serious freelance work
- Basic understanding of HTML and how site structure affects crawlability
- Ability to explain SEO recommendations to people who aren't SEO specialists themselves
Good to Have
- Experience with schema markup and structured data
- Comfortable navigating WordPress or whatever CMS a client happens to be running
- Some background in link-building outreach specifically
- A ranking improvement you can point to and explain how you got there
Why This Role Holds Up
A lot of remote SEO jobs are one-off audits with no follow-through. This one isn't. At Naukri Mitra, we focus on connecting the right talent with the right opportunity, so this role comes with ongoing site ownership rather than a single audit that gets handed off and forgotten. Pay is competitive and grows with the results you're able to demonstrate over time.
Who Tends to Do Well Here
People who treat a ranking drop as a puzzle worth solving rather than a stat to shrug at, who stay current on algorithm updates without panicking over every one, and who can balance long-term strategy with the smaller fixes that quietly add up. If that's roughly your approach, this role should be a good fit.
How to Apply
Send your resume along with examples of SEO work you've done, including any measurable results you're comfortable sharing. The process is short — a conversation about your experience, a look at your past work, then a decision. If SEO specialist work-from-home jobs with real ownership are what you've been searching for, this is worth applying to.
