Job Description:
As a Remote Red Team Analyst, you will simulate adversarial attacks to test and evaluate the effectiveness of security measures. Your work will involve conducting penetration tests, identifying vulnerabilities, and collaborating with Blue Team counterparts to strengthen defenses. This role demands a deep understanding of cybersecurity, offensive tactics, and cutting-edge tools to stay ahead of emerging threats.
Key Responsibilities:
- Red Team Operations:
- Conducted advanced penetration testing and simulated real-world cyberattacks to identify security vulnerabilities.
- Design and execute adversarial scenarios to test the resilience of networks, applications, and systems.
- Use tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to mimic threat actors’ behavior.
- Threat Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze and document vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and risks discovered during assessments.
- Create detailed reports with actionable recommendations for mitigation.
- Present findings to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with Blue Teams and incident response teams to improve detection and response capabilities.
- Share insights and knowledge to foster a culture of continuous security improvement.
- Tool Development and Utilization:
- Develop and customize tools and scripts for specific attack scenarios.
- Utilize industry-standard tools such as Metasploit, Cobalt Strike, and Burp Suite.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and tools in offensive security.
- Compliance and Standards:
- Ensure all testing activities comply with legal and ethical standards.
- Adhere to industry frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Continuous Learning and Adaptation:
- Stay updated on the latest threat landscapes, attack techniques, and defensive measures.
- Research new vulnerabilities and contribute to developing innovative testing methodologies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly desirable.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in offensive security, penetration testing, or Red Team operations.
- Proven track record of identifying and mitigating critical vulnerabilities in complex environments.
- Technical Proficiency:
- In-depth knowledge of penetration testing tools, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with exploit development and reverse engineering is a plus.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- Strong analytical skills to identify security gaps and provide effective solutions.
- Ability to think like an attacker and develop creative approaches to testing.
- Communication and Reporting Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for conveying technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to create comprehensive and actionable reports.
