Key Responsibilities

• Manage, monitor, and optimize Linux servers in hybrid and cloud settings—across Ubuntu, Red Hat, and CentOS systems.
• Write, test, and automate scripts using Bash, Python, or Perl to enhance process efficiency and achieve repeatable results.
• Monitor performance proactively with tools such as Grafana, Zabbix, or Nagios, identifying and resolving slowdowns before they escalate.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and updates with platforms like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet, supporting scalable deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents alongside engineering and network teams, prioritizing rapid solutions and root cause analysis.
• Apply security updates, maintain firewall configurations, and implement industry-compliant protections to safeguard data.
• Oversee data backup processes, routinely testing and refining disaster recovery strategies.
• Review system logs, analyze trends, and recommend enhancements to boost stability and uptime.

Who Succeeds Here?

Minimum Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on Linux system administration experience (remote or onsite)
• In-depth knowledge of Linux internals and performance tuning
• Experience supporting cloud infrastructure: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure
• Proficiency in automation and scripting for system management
• Familiarity with container tools: Docker, Kubernetes
• Analytical approach and self-motivation for independent troubleshooting
• Clear written and spoken communication—crucial for remote teams
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent real-world expertise

Nice to Have

• Certifications: RHCE, RHCSA, AWS SysOps Admin, or similar
• Skills in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
