A filing deadline slips because a document sat in the wrong folder for two days. A client call gets missed because two calendars weren't actually synced. Small gaps like these can quietly derail a legal team's momentum — and closing them is exactly what this role is for. We're hiring a Remote Legal Executive Assistant to keep the administrative side of legal work running smoothly, so attorneys can focus on the actual legal work.
What This Role Covers
You'll support legal executives directly — managing schedules, preparing case documents, and handling the kind of detail work that determines whether a filing goes in on time or a meeting starts without the right materials ready.
Naukri Mitra is helping fill this opening for a legal team that treats administrative precision as part of the actual legal work, not separate from it.
The Work Day to Day
Some days lean administrative — organizing case files, tracking deadlines, formatting documents to meet compliance standards. Others involve more direct legal support: compiling research for a case, helping draft a contract, proofreading correspondence before it goes out. You'll also be a communication hub, coordinating among legal executives, clients, courts, and outside agencies, ensuring nothing important slips through the cracks between conversations.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage executives' schedules, appointments, and legal meetings
- Prepare case documents and files ahead of legal proceedings
- Handle confidential legal materials with consistent discretion
- Conduct legal research and compile reports to support case preparation
- Assist with drafting contracts, agreements, and legal correspondence
- Review and format legal documents to meet compliance requirements
- Maintain organized client records and case files, including digital filing systems
- Track deadlines and ensure legal paperwork gets submitted on time
- Support virtual hearings and digital case preparation as needed
What You'll Need
Minimum education required:
Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum experience:
3 years in a legal administrative role.
You'll need real fluency in legal terminology and contract handling — enough to catch an error before it becomes a problem, not just format documents correctly. Comfort with legal management software, Microsoft Office, and remote collaboration tools like Zoom and Google Workspace is expected. Discretion matters just as much as skill here, since you'll regularly be trusted with sensitive information that can't be handled casually.
What Sets Strong Candidates Apart
- Genuine attention to detail — the kind that catches a formatting error before it reaches a client
- Clear written and verbal communication, especially under time pressure
- Comfortable managing multiple deadlines without letting any of them slip
- Adaptable when priorities shift quickly, which they often do in legal work
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this role is
$99,500. Beyond that:
- Fully remote with a flexible, well-structured work setup
- Access to training programs and real paths for career advancement
- The chance to work directly alongside experienced legal professionals on meaningful cases
- A team culture that values both efficiency and actual employee well-being
Why This Role Matters
Legal outcomes often hinge on details that never make it into a courtroom — a deadline hit, a document formatted correctly, a piece of research pulled together in time to actually be useful. This role sits right at that intersection, supporting legal strategy from behind the scenes in ways that genuinely affect case outcomes and client experience.
Who Does Well in This Role
People who thrive here are naturally organized, but not rigid about it — legal work shifts quickly, and the best assistants adapt without losing track of what actually matters. They're comfortable being trusted with sensitive information and take that trust seriously, every time, not just when it's convenient.
How to Apply
Submit your resume along with a short note on your experience supporting legal executives or managing complex administrative workflows. This role is open to professionals from the USA, Canada, the UK, European countries, Australia, India, and other eligible regions.
