Something always breaks. A login that won't accept the right password, a network that drops mid-meeting, a printer that's decided today's the day it stops cooperating. Someone has to be on the other end of that call, and this role is that someone.
We're hiring an
IT Support Specialist for a fully remote position, with part-time and full-time paths available. Full-time comes in around
$53,824 annually.
What the Role Covers
This is frontline technical support, mostly — troubleshooting hardware and software issues for clients, handling requests through phone, email, or chat, and figuring out fast whether something's a quick fix or needs escalating. Some days are steady and predictable. Others involve three unrelated fires at once. Both are normal here.
- Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues remotely
- Supporting end-users through phone, email, or chat channels
- Configuring systems, applications, and basic network settings
- Documenting support cases clearly enough that someone else could pick them up
- Escalating complex issues to the right team without losing time in the handoff
- Keeping IT systems running smoothly across a distributed client base
What You'll Need
- Solid troubleshooting skills across common hardware, software, and network issues
- Clear communication, especially explaining technical fixes to non-technical people
- Comfortable working independently without constant oversight
- Some prior experience in IT support, helpdesk, or a related technical role
- Patience — some tickets take five minutes, others take forty and three follow-up calls
- Basic familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools
Good to Have
- Experience with Windows and Mac environments, not just one or the other
- Basic networking knowledge — DNS, VPNs, that level of detail
- Certifications like CompTIA A+ or similar, though not mandatory
- A track record of low escalation rates on tickets you've handled directly
Why This Role Holds Up
A lot of remote IT support jobs are inconsistent, ticket-by-ticket gig work with no real structure. This one isn't. At Naukri Mitra, we focus on connecting the right talent with the right opportunity, so whether you take part-time or full-time hours, you're joining a team with steady client work rather than scattered one-off requests. Full-time roles come with the added stability of a set annual salary, and there's real room to grow into more senior IT support or engineering positions as you build experience here.
Who Tends to Succeed in This Role
People who stay calm when three tickets come in at once, who explain things clearly instead of talking over someone's head, and who take ownership of a problem instead of just passing it along. Whether you're newer to IT support or have years behind you, a customer-first attitude matters here as much as technical skill.
How to Apply
Send your resume along with any relevant certifications or experience, and let us know if you're looking for part-time or full-time work. The hiring process is quick — no long back-and-forth. If you've been searching for IT support work-from-home jobs with real consistency behind them, this is worth applying to.
