Training programs fail for a predictable reason: nobody designed the experience; they just uploaded the content. We're hiring a Remote eLearning and Development Advisor to make sure that doesn't happen here — someone who can take a learning need and turn it into a program people actually finish and apply.
This is a full-time, fully remote position with an annual salary of $98,000. You'll own eLearning programs from the initial needs analysis through the final evaluation, working alongside subject matter experts and instructional designers to maintain consistently high quality.
What You'd Own
This role sits at the intersection of subject matter expertise and usable design. Someone on your team knows the content inside and out; your job is to shape that knowledge into a course structure that actually teaches. You'll build the multimedia, write the assessments, manage the platforms, and then check afterward whether any of it actually worked — closing the loop instead of shipping and moving on.
Program Development
- Take eLearning programs from initial concept through design, build, and evaluation.
- Produce interactive online content using video, graphics, and simulations that genuinely add value.
- Design quizzes and assessments that measure whether learning objectives were actually met.
Instructional Design Work
- Apply instructional design principles to build learning experiences with real structure, not just a stack of slides.
- Work with subject matter experts to pull out accurate content and clearly defined learning objectives.
- Produce and maintain supporting materials, including participant and facilitator guides.
Platforms and Technology
- Lean on authoring software and your LMS of choice to get programs live and keep tabs on how they're performing.
- Keep pace with new tools and approaches in the eLearning space and bring in what's actually useful.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with platforms or content as they arise.
Supporting Learners and Teams
- Train internal teams on eLearning tools and platform best practices.
- Give learners feedback and guidance that helps the material actually stick.
- Review learner progress data and recommend adjustments where a program isn't landing.
Quality and Compliance
- Review existing programs regularly against quality standards and organizational goals.
- Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders and use it to refine content over time.
- Confirm materials meet accessibility standards and work for a genuinely diverse audience.
Managing the Work
You'll typically have more than one project moving at once, so keeping timelines, scope, and budget under control matters as much as the instructional design itself. You'll maintain project documentation, clearly communicate status to stakeholders, and coordinate with other teams so that eLearning initiatives stay aligned with what the organization is actually trying to accomplish.
Qualifications
- Minimum required education: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications in eLearning are a plus.
- At least 3 years of experience designing and implementing eLearning programs and training solutions.
- Hands-on experience with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
- Solid knowledge of learning management systems like Moodle, Blackboard, or Canvas.
- Strong grasp of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Ability to build multimedia content using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite or Camtasia.
- Project management skills strong enough to run several initiatives at once without losing track.
- Written and verbal communication clear enough to work smoothly across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Comfort working independently in a remote setting without close supervision.
Preferred, Not Required
- A demonstrated history of managing remote projects successfully.
- Awareness of emerging trends and technologies shaping eLearning and professional development.
- Experience with data analysis or reporting tools used to measure program effectiveness.

- Health, dental, and vision coverage.
