Cloud Security Operations Specialist to take on that responsibility for our organization, working remotely and reporting on the health of our cloud infrastructure day in and day out.
About the Position
This is a full-time, remote role for someone who already lives and breathes cloud security — not a stepping-stone position for someone still learning the fundamentals. You'll be embedded with our broader security team, but much of the work happens independently: reviewing alerts, investigating anomalies, and deciding on the spot whether something needs immediate escalation or can wait until the team regroups.
Where You'll Spend Your Time
- Monitoring security events across cloud platforms and flagging anything that looks off before it becomes a bigger problem
- Running vulnerability assessments on cloud infrastructure and following through on remediation
- Implementing and tuning security controls across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
- Investigating and responding to security incidents, documenting findings as you go
- Working with SIEM tools to spot patterns that a one-off alert wouldn't catch
- Coordinating with engineering and infrastructure teams so security gets built into projects early, not bolted on at the end
What We Expect You to Bring
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform is non-negotiable — AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and ideally more than surface-level familiarity. You should be comfortable with tools like AWS Security Hub or Azure Security Center, and have a working understanding of network security principles that goes beyond textbook knowledge. Strong analytical instincts matter here, too; much of the job involves looking at incomplete information and figuring out what actually happened.
