Remote Cloud DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Join a high-performing, cloud-first engineering culture that thrives on automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. As a Remote Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will be instrumental in optimizing cloud infrastructure, enhancing deployment pipelines, and driving operational excellence at scale. This is more than a technical roleโ€”it's an opportunity to shape resilient, secure, and scalable systems while working in a fully remote, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Automation and Management

  • Develop, deploy, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks utilizing Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Automate provisioning of cloud environments across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Establish CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI for seamless deployments.

Performance and Monitoring

  • Implement robust observability practices using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
  • Optimize system performance by analyzing metrics, logs, and incident trends.
  • Ensure high availability and fault tolerance through a scalable architecture.

Security and Compliance

  • Maintain a secure infrastructure with automated patch management and identity policies.
  • Apply DevSecOps practices to embed security into each step of the software delivery pipeline.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec teams to enforce compliance with industry standards.

Collaboration and Support

  • Partner with engineering, product, and QA teams to align infrastructure goals with business needs.
  • Offer Level 2/3 operational support and handle postmortems to drive incident learning.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and runbooks for operational consistency.

Work Environment

Remote-First Culture

You will be working from anywhere while staying connected through digital collaboration tools like Slack, Zoom, and Confluence. We foster a culture of ownership where engineers are empowered to make impactful decisions with autonomy. Expect daily stand-ups, asynchronous updates, and a shared commitment to delivering clean, stable, and secure infrastructure solutions.

Agile and Iterative

Projects are structured using agile frameworks with bi-weekly sprints, sprint planning, retrospectives, and Jira-based task management. Innovation is constant. Every engineer has a voice in technical strategy discussions, post-release reviews, and the alignment of the future roadmap.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with cost optimization strategies in cloud environments
  • Knowledge of serverless architecture and microservices deployment
  • Exposure to blue/green and canary release methodologies
  • Understanding of Zero Trust Architecture and infrastructure hardening best practices

Soft Skills

  • Clear and proactive communication across distributed teams
  • A continuous learning mindset, willing to adopt new tools and frameworks
  • Self-driven with strong problem-solving instincts and decision-making autonomy
