Job Description:
As a member of our
medical billing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient processing of healthcare claims. Your responsibilities will include:
- Data Entry and Verification: Accurately input patient information, medical codes, and billing details into our system and thoroughly verify the accuracy of data to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Claim Submission: Preparing and submitting medical claims promptly to insurance companies and other payers, following up on rejected or denied claims, and making necessary corrections or resubmissions.
- Insurance Verification: Communicating with insurance providers to verify patient coverage, eligibility, and benefits, resolving discrepancies or issues to ensure accurate billing.
- Billing Inquiries: Addressing inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing statements, claims status, and payment processing and providing clear and helpful assistance to resolve billing-related concerns.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain detailed and organized records of all billing transactions, patient interactions, and communications with insurance companies and adhere to relevant healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
- Revenue Cycle Management: Assisting in optimizing the revenue cycle by identifying opportunities for process improvement, streamlining workflows, and enhancing efficiency in billing operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional training or certification in medical billing and coding is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience: Both fresher and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply. Prior experience in medical billing, healthcare administration, or related fields will be advantageous.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical and data entry skills, and proficiency in using computer software and billing systems. Practical communication skills and working well in a team environment are essential.
