Key Responsibilities:
As a driver, your role will be crucial in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of clients or goods. Your day-to-day duties may include:
- Driving Passengers or Goods: Safely transporting passengers to their destination or delivering goods as per the assigned schedule.
- Navigation: Understanding and using GPS navigation systems to map routes and avoid traffic congestion. Having a strong knowledge of Mumbai’s roads, shortcuts, and traffic patterns will be essential.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Performing routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal working condition. This includes checking the oil, tire pressure, and fuel levels regularly. Reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
- Compliance with Traffic Rules: Strictly adhering to all road safety regulations and traffic laws. You will be responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers and goods during transit.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service to passengers. Being polite, respectful, and professional at all times.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate logs for the journey, including fuel consumption, mileage, and any other relevant details.
- Timeliness: Ensuring punctual pick-ups and drop-offs for all assignments, with a focus on efficiency without compromising safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License: You must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of driving experience in Mumbai is preferred. Experience with both manual and automatic transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Knowledge of Mumbai’s Roads: A deep understanding of the city’s routes, shortcuts, and common traffic patterns will be critical to ensure timely deliveries and pick-ups.
- Physical Fitness: Drivers should be in good physical condition, able to sit for long periods, and capable of lifting light loads when necessary.
- Good Communication Skills: Proficiency in Hindi, Marathi, and basic English is required to effectively communicate with clients and colleagues.
