How You’ll Make an Impact

Look Past the Résumé
  • Notice strengths others might overlook—in online forums, coding groups, or even casual conversations.
  • Take time to learn what makes a candidate tick—their goals, side projects, and what keeps them motivated.
  • Reach out with thoughtful, one-of-a-kind messages.
Build Teams, Build Experiences
  • Partner with managers to get a feel for what each department is really looking for—not just what’s written in a posting.
  • Explain technical requirements in clear, straightforward terms so everyone stays on the same page.
  • Walk candidates through the journey—offering honest advice, sharing what makes our team unique, and giving them a boost along the way.

A Typical Week Might Include

  • Stay updated on IT trends, keeping your search fresh and forward-looking.
  • Grow talent pipelines for a range of IT specialties, from helpdesk to DevOps.
  • Work with engineers and team leads to improve job posts and identify hiring needs.
  • Write and organize interview notes and outreach that actually help people make decisions.
  • Review work samples, online projects, or anything that shows off real skill and passion.
  • Offer clear, useful feedback so everyone knows how to improve.
  • Tell the story behind the numbers—what’s working well and what needs a new approach.

  • Where to Source: LinkedIn, Stack Overflow, GitHub, specialty boards
  • How to Collaborate: Slack, Zoom, Notion, Google Workspace
  • How to Track: Greenhouse, Lever, and other dashboards
  • How to Screen: Reviewing real-world projects, skill tests, and practical tasks
