E-Learning Developer

Location: Remote Salary: $113,000 per year Position Overview: We seek a skilled and innovative E-Learning Developer to join our dynamic team. This remote position offers the opportunity to design and develop engaging, interactive, and educational online learning experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong instructional design and multimedia development background and a passion for creating high-quality e-learning content that drives learner engagement and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Content Development:
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and analyze content requirements and learning objectives.
    • Design and develop interactive and multimedia-rich e-learning modules that meet instructional goals and enhance the learning experience.
    • Create engaging content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and other authoring tools.
    • Incorporate best practices in instructional design, adult learning theories, and multimedia principles to produce high-quality e-learning solutions.
  2. Course Design and Implementation:
    • Develop detailed storyboards, course outlines, and learning materials based on the project scope and requirements.
    • Implement interactive elements, assessments, and simulations to ensure learner engagement and knowledge retention.
    • To provide an inclusive learning experience, accessible courses must meet relevant standards (e.g., WCAG 2.0, Section 508).
  3. Quality Assurance and Testing:
    • Conduct thorough testing of e-learning modules to ensure functionality, usability, and compatibility across various devices and platforms.
    • Identify and resolve technical issues and bugs to ensure a seamless learning experience.
    • Review and revise course content based on feedback from stakeholders, learners, and subject matter experts.
  4. Project Management:
    • Manage multiple e-learning development projects simultaneously, adhering to project timelines and deadlines.
    • Coordinate with project managers, instructional designers, and other team members to meet project milestones.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress and escalate any issues or risks that may impact project delivery.
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and e-learning and instructional design best practices.
    • Apply new techniques and tools to enhance the development process and improve the quality of e-learning content.
    • Seek and incorporate feedback from learners and stakeholders to continuously refine and improve course offerings.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Multimedia Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in e-learning development, including proficiency with authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles, learning theories, and multimedia development best practices.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SCORM/AICC standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality e-learning solutions.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience with additional e-learning development tools and technologies like HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools to assess learner performance and course effectiveness.
  • Certification in instructional design or e-learning development is a plus.
