What is logo animation?
Logo animation is a short clip, usually three to seven seconds, in which your logo appears with movement and often a sound effect. Parts may draw themselves, fly in, bounce, glow or assemble from shapes. Done well, it makes every video look like it comes from the same brand and strengthens your brand identity without saying a word.
What is a logo reveal?
A logo reveal is the most common type: a build-up of light, particles, ink, paper or shapes that ends with the full logo on screen. It is used at the start or end of videos, events and presentations.
What is a YouTube intro?
A YouTube intro is the opening sting of a video that shows the channel's name or logo. Most creators now keep it under five seconds, or play it after a short hook, because viewers leave if the intro drags. A matching intro and outro pair, with an end card for subscribe and next video, gives a channel a finished look.
Logo animation price in India
Prices depend mainly on whether the animator starts from a template or designs the motion around your logo. Typical freelance quotes:

|---|---|
| Template-based 2D reveal | ₹499–₹1,500 |
| Custom 2D animation of your logo parts | ₹1,500–₹6,000 |
| 3D logo reveal with lighting and textures | ₹3,000–₹15,000 |
| Intro plus outro set for YouTube | ₹1,500–₹8,000 |
| Extra formats: GIF, transparent MOV, vertical cut | ₹300–₹1,500 each |
Gigs for this service on Naukri Mitra start at ₹499. Expect higher quotes for complex logos with many small parts, custom sound design, 4K resolution renders and delivery in under 48 hours.
Logo animation templates vs custom animation
Templates are pre-built After Effects projects where the freelancer swaps in your logo. They are fast and cheap, but someone else may use the same effect. Custom work animates the actual shapes and letters of your logo, so the movement reflects your brand. For a YouTube channel, a template is fine; for a company that will use the clip for years, go custom.
2D vs 3D logo animation
2D animation moves flat shapes and text. It is clean, quick to load, works well on small screens and suits most Indian small businesses, from a café in Kochi to a CA firm in Surat. 3D animation gives depth, metal or glass textures and camera moves around the logo. A 3D logo reveal intro video looks impressive on YouTube, at events or on a showroom screen, but costs more and needs more render time.
How long should an animated logo be?
Three to five seconds for social media and video intros, up to seven to ten seconds for event screens and TV-style openings. Anything longer starts to feel like a delay.
Do I need sound for an animated logo?
A short sound effect, such as a whoosh, chime or bass hit, makes the reveal feel complete in videos and presentations. On Instagram many people watch muted, so the visual has to work alone. Ask for one version with sound and one without.
Where an animated logo earns its place
Can I use logo animation on Instagram?
Yes. Use it at the end of reels, or post it on its own as a short feed post or Story. An animated logo for Instagram and website use needs different shapes: 9:16 or 1:1 for social, and a light file such as a GIF, WebM or Lottie for websites.
How to add logo animation to YouTube videos
Give the MP4 file to your editor to place at the start or end of each video, or after the opening hook. A custom logo animation for a YouTube intro should match the channel's colors and fonts. For the small corner watermark, YouTube Studio only accepts a still image, so keep a static version too.
Logo animation for business videos and ads
Businesses add the reveal to product videos, video ads, webinar openings, trade show loops and the last frame of every reel. In ads, keep it to the final two seconds so the offer gets screen time first.
Is logo animation worth it for a small business?
For a few thousand rupees you get a reusable asset that makes phone-shot videos look more professional. If you post videos regularly, it is usually worth it. If you rarely use video, spend the money on content first.
Files to send and files you get back
What file do I need to give for logo animation?
Send a vector logo file (AI, EPS, SVG or PDF) so each part can move separately. A PNG or JPG works only for simple effects. Add your brand colors, fonts and any tagline you want shown.
What format is a logo animation delivered in?
- MP4: for YouTube, Instagram and presentations.
- MOV with alpha (ProRes 4444): for overlaying on other videos.
- GIF: for emails and simple web use, with limited color quality.
- WebM or Lottie: for websites and apps.
Ask for 1080p as standard and 4K only if you show it on large screens.
Can an animated logo have a transparent background?
Yes. Ask for a MOV file with alpha channel or a WebM with transparency. A standard MP4 (H.264) file cannot carry transparency, so request a transparent version specifically.
How to hire a logo animator
Ask for samples with logos similar in shape to yours: text-only wordmarks animate differently from icon logos. Check whether the movement suits the brand; a bank logo exploding into sparks sends the wrong message. In your free order, attach the vector file, describe the mood (calm, playful, premium, energetic), the length, where it will be used and the formats you need.
What software is used to animate a logo?
After Effects handles most 2D and simple 3D work. Cinema 4D and Blender are used for full 3D reveals, and some animators finish sound in Audition or Premiere Pro.
How long does a logo animator take?
Template work is often ready in one to two days. Custom 2D takes three to five days and 3D usually five to ten, including one revision round.
If you do not have a logo yet, start with logo design. For longer branded sequences see motion graphics, and for channel edits YouTube video editing. All are part of video and animation.
Logo Animation: frequently asked questions
How much does logo animation cost in India?
A template-based 2D reveal usually costs ₹499 to ₹1,500, custom 2D work ₹1,500 to ₹6,000 and a 3D logo reveal ₹3,000 to ₹15,000. Extra formats, a vertical version, sound design and 4K renders may add to the price, so list everything you need in the order.
How many revisions are included in logo animation?
Most freelancers include one or two revision rounds for timing, colors or the sound effect. Changing the whole animation style after the first draft usually counts as a new order. Share reference animations before work starts so the first draft is close to what you want.
Can I get logo animation and logo design together?
Yes, some designers offer both, and it can save time because they build the logo with movement in mind. Often, though, a specialist logo designer and a separate animator give better results. If you hire separately, ask the designer for layered vector files to pass on to the animator.
Should I hire a logo animator near me?
There is no need. Logo files and previews are shared online and changes are small, so the whole job works well remotely. Clients in any city can hire a freelancer elsewhere in India. Choose based on samples that match your brand style and clear delivery timelines.
Will I own the animation after paying?
You should get full usage rights to the final files once paid in full. If the animator used a purchased template or stock sound effects, they hold a license that allows them to use it in client work, and you get the right to use the final video. Ask in writing whether project files are included.
Can the animator make a vertical version for Reels and Stories?
Yes. Most animators can rearrange the layout into 9:16 for Reels and Stories and 1:1 for feed posts, usually for a small extra charge. Mention these sizes in the first brief, because planning for them from the start is quicker than adapting a finished horizontal animation.
- Do not pay the full amount in advance. Pay in parts as the work is delivered.
- Never share your OTP, UPI PIN, card details or bank password with anyone.
- Do not open .apk or .exe files, and do not install AnyDesk, TeamViewer or any screen-sharing app on anyone’s request.
