What You’ll Be Doing

Strategic Legal Advisory

• Serve as a trusted advisor across departments, delivering clear, timely guidance on legal matters impacting operations, product launches, partnerships, and contracts.
• Translate complex legal concepts into actionable insights for non-legal teams.
• Monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance with U.S. and international laws.

Contract and Policy Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS licenses, NDAs, partnership contracts, and employment policies.
• Develop internal templates and knowledge bases to streamline future contract workflows.

Risk & Compliance Leadership

• Lead internal risk assessment initiatives, proactively identifying areas of potential legal exposure.
• Collaborate with external counsel when necessary while maintaining in-house strategic oversight.

Legal Innovation & Process Improvement

• Recommend and implement legal technologies to automate processes and improve legal service delivery.
• Design compliance checklists and interactive workflows to educate internal teams.

What We're Looking For

Core Requirements

• A law degree from a recognized institution and current authorization to practice law in at least one U.S. state.
• At least 5 years of professional legal experience, ideally combining both in-house counsel and private practice roles.
• A solid background working with digital-first or technology-driven companies.

Skills That Set You Apart

• A knack for translating legal complexities into easy-to-understand guidance.
• Experience supporting product launches and IP strategies.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws such as CCPA, GDPR, and cross-border compliance frameworks.
