Remote Interaction Designer

📍 Anywhere 🏷️ Work From Home 💰 $110,224 / year

Remote Interaction Designer (Work From Anywhere)

Let’s be real: remote work isn’t just Zoom calls and Slack threads. It’s how you bring creativity, empathy, and design thinking into a space where no one shares a room, but everyone shares the mission. That’s precisely what we’re doing here. And you’re invited to shape how people experience our digital world. We’re building tools used by thousands (and counting), and great design is at the heart of it. You’ll help us turn big, messy challenges into seamless user experiences that actually make life easier. This is a fully remote role. The salary? $110,224/year. Yep, no typo.

What a Day in the Life Looks Like

Your Daily Flow

  • Kick off your morning syncing with folks in product, engineering, and marketing.
  • Sketch flows, wireframe new onboarding screens, or prototype in Figma.
  • Share early thoughts in a design review—feedback is honest and helpful.
  • Use the afternoon for heads-down design time: refining flows or simplifying interactions.
  • By Friday, you’ve shipped a feature and shared your takeaways with the team.

Real Stories from the Team

"I worked on redesigning our dashboard and got to see it go live within three weeks. The feedback from users was instant. That kind of fast loop? Super motivating." — Tessa, Product Designer "We don't obsess over perfect pixels. We care more about whether users can get what they need, fast. I once simplified a checkout flow that dropped support tickets by 40% overnight. That’s the kind of impact we’re after." — Jordan, UX Lead.

Key Responsibilities with Real Impact

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for complex digital workflows
  • Translate user insights and behavior into clear, actionable design decisions
  • Work closely with engineers to launch features quickly and iterate even faster
  • Prioritize accessibility, clarity, and responsiveness in every design

A Culture Where Design Leads

Design isn’t an afterthought here. It’s central to every decision. You’re involved from day one of product planning, not after the specs are written. Your input helps shape what we build—and how.

What Makes You a Great Fit

Traits We’re Excited About

  • You’ve designed real products that launched and evolved over time
  • You're fluent in tools like Figma or Adobe XD, but don’t depend on them to think
  • You see patterns, not just pixels. You’re always asking: "What does the user really need?"
  • You ship early drafts and refine fast. Perfection isn’t your starting point.
  • You collaborate well in remote settings and value async communication

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience building or contributing to a design system
  • Comfort running or participating in user research
  • A portfolio that highlights your process, not just polished results
  • Familiarity with front-end tech (HTML/CSS)

Tools You’ll Use

Our Design Stack

  • Figma for UI and prototyping
  • FigJam for early exploration and idea mapping
  • Jira and Notion for tracking and documentation
  • Slack and Loom for async updates
  • Miro for collaborative sessions

How We Make Remote Work Work

Team Rituals That Keep Us Connected

  • Weekly huddles to align and celebrate wins
  • Monthly design critiques that are casual but valuable
  • A design buddy to help you settle in and feel supported
  • Async updates so you’re not tied to back-to-back calls
  • Quiet time when you need deep focus

Little Moments That Matter

Last month, we did a virtual "desk safari." Everyone shared a photo of their workspace. It gave us a glimpse into each other’s day-to-day and sparked a few laughs. Small moments, significant impact.

A Culture That Supports Growth

We Prioritize Balance

  • No micromanagement—you set your own pace
  • Flexible hours that match your energy
  • Paid time off, you’re encouraged to actually use
  • $1,000 annual learning stipend for courses, books, or conferences

What Success Looks Like Here

  • Your designs feel effortless to users and reduce friction
  • You improve product usability and reduce support tickets
  • You’re seen as a go-to voice on design thinking and user empathy
  • You contribute to a culture of feedback and continuous improvement

Our Future (And How You Fit In)

Why We Need Design-Led Thinkers Now

We’re growing—new features, new users, new challenges. But we’re not chasing shiny things. We’re building meaningfully. That means:
  • Anticipating user pain points before they happen
  • Designing not just for function, but for emotional connection
  • Asking better questions, early and often

Ready to Build Something You’re Proud Of?

If you’re ready to move beyond just "making things pretty" and instead create experiences that make life easier, smoother, and more human—this is the place. You’ll grow, collaborate, and make a real impact every week. And yes, you’ll do it all remotely. Sound like something you’d love to be part of? Let’s make it happen.
