What You’ll Do
Accurate Freight Invoicing
- Generate precise freight invoices based on shipment documentation, carrier contracts, and service agreements.
- Validate billing entries to ensure applicable rates, classifications, and fuel charges are reflected correctly.
- Maintain organized, accessible digital records of all billing activities and interactions.
Billing Discrepancy Resolution
- Detect and correct discrepancies or anomalies within invoice records
- Liaise with logistics partners and internal teams to clarify shipping documentation or rate disputes
- Process freight claims, credits, and billing adjustments in a timely and transparent manner
Compliance and Data Integrity
- Ensure billing files comply with transportation industry standards and applicable regulations.
- Cross-check contract terms and service expectations for billing accuracy
- Contribute to audit preparations by maintaining clean and verifiable financial records
Team Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with the accounting and shipping departments to align invoicing with transport data
- Engage respectfully with remote colleagues and external stakeholders
- Recommend workflow improvements to help reduce errors and boost invoice efficiency

What Makes You a Great Fit
Professional Experience
- Minimum two years of working experience in freight billing, invoicing, or supply chain finance
- Previous experience in remote or hybrid teams preferred
Technical Skills
- Competent in preparing invoices, managing billing audits, and resolving rate discrepancies
- Knowledgeable in freight rating systems, full-truckload and less-than-truckload (FTL/LTL) billing methods
- Understanding of accounting basics and billing reconciliation procedures
