How You’ll Make an Impact

• Work shoulder-to-shoulder (virtually!) with engineers, analysts, and project leaders from every corner of the world, mapping out migration journeys that fit every unique need.
• Manage migrations from start to finish: evaluate current systems, design strategies, ensure seamless execution, and provide ongoing support even after the transition is complete.
• Roll up your sleeves to tackle tough challenges and explain solutions in plain language—ensuring that clients and team members always feel included and informed.
• Please share what you know, run learning sessions, and encourage others to continue growing, regardless of where they start.

What Your Workday Could Look Like

Advising and Planning

• Meet remotely with organizations to understand their goals, concerns, and unique tech environments.
• Map out plans for moving databases—whether they’re on-site, in the cloud, or somewhere in between—always keeping business needs and people in mind.
• Recommend solutions that balance technical requirements with the human side of change.

Technical Hands-On

• Oversee migrations using SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, and all major cloud data platforms.
• Set up, test, and fine-tune new database environments on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with a focus on both security and performance.
• Tackle compatibility, reliability, and speed issues, never losing sight of quality or detail.
• Utilize intelligent automation and custom scripts to streamline routine tasks, enabling projects to run smoothly and freeing up your time to focus on more meaningful challenges.

Teamwork and Support

• Connect and collaborate across departments and cultures, making sure projects move forward together.
• Lead workshops, share tips on data integrity, and foster strong teamwork even when everyone is remote.
• Stay available to answer questions and smooth out bumps after migrations wrap up so everyone feels comfortable in their new environment.
