Online Labor Relations Advisor
Location: Remote Annual Salary: $69,248 Position Overview: We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Online Labor Relations Advisor to join our remote team. This position plays a crucial role in providing expert guidance on labor relations issues, helping to foster positive employee-employer relationships, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in labor relations, conflict resolution, human resources and excellent communication skills. Key Responsibilities:- Advisory Services:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees and management regarding labor relations inquiries.
- Provide expert advice on labor laws, collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, and workplace policies.
- Assist in the interpretation and application of labor agreements and company policies.
- Conflict Resolution:
- Facilitate resolution of workplace disputes and conflicts through effective negotiation and mediation strategies.
- Develop and implement conflict resolution processes to address grievances and disputes early.
- Conduct investigations into employee complaints and concerns, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up.
- Training and Development:
- Design and deliver training sessions for managers and employees on labor relations topics, including conflict resolution, grievance procedures, and labor law compliance.
- Create educational materials and resources to enhance employee understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
- Policy Development:
- Collaborate with HR and management to develop, review, and update labor relations policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.
- Provide recommendations for policy changes based on industry trends and regulatory updates.
- Research and Analysis:
- Stay current on labor relations trends, regulations, and best practices to inform organizational strategy and decision-making.
- Conduct research and analysis on labor-related issues, preparing reports and presentations for management.
- Collective Bargaining Support:
- Assist in the preparation for collective bargaining negotiations, including data analysis and strategy development.
- Support the negotiation process by providing insights and recommendations based on best practices in labor relations.
- Monitoring Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations, conducting regular audits and assessments of labor relations practices.
- Address any compliance issues promptly and guide corrective actions.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build positive relationships with internal stakeholders, including management, HR, and employee representatives.
- Engage with external stakeholders, such as labor unions and regulatory agencies, to ensure open communication and collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., SHRM, PHR) is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in labor relations, HR, or a related field, with a strong focus on conflict resolution and employee relations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and best practices in labor relations.
- Proven experience in negotiating labor agreements and resolving workplace conflicts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in using HRIS and other relevant software tools.
- This remote position allows for flexible work hours and the ability to work from anywhere with a reliable internet connection.
- Occasional travel may be required for training sessions, workshops, or stakeholder meetings.
- The annual salary for this position is $69,248.
